Heavy hitters Michael Dunlop and Ian Hutchinson laid down the early markers in qualifying, with Dunlop shocking the paddock by throwing in a seemingly yawning casual 133mph lap in qualifying – the first at the TT over the magic 133 barrier! This set the tone for actual race week and it became very much the Michael and Ian show as they pushed each other to shocking higher levels in the Superbike, Supersport and Superstock races, you must see this stuff!

The Solo classes were dominated by Michael Dunlop and Ian Hutchinson as well as the two riders, on very evenly matched motos and both in top form of their lives, blew the records away into dust, exilirating the crowds with their bravery, class and mad skills every lap there was!

Not to be outdone or left to far behind, Ben and Tommy Birchall snatched the sidecar lap record from Dave Molyneux, just a year after he took it from Nick Crowe who’d held it for nearly a decade, although it was John Holden and Andy Winkle who took a very popular win in the first sidecar race of the week this year.
